For child welfare training purposes, the state of Ohio is
divided into eight Regional Training Centers, or RTCs. Each RTC is
responsible for the budgeting, scheduling, registration, and administration
of child welfare-related training within its region, and for the production
of related quarterly training calendars. In addition, RTCs collaborate with their constituent agencies regarding the identification of training needs, the implementation of training, transfer of learning, and other training-related issues. All eight RTCs participate in the monthly OCWTP State Steering Committee meetings to discuss statewide planning initiatives, and to develop policy and procedure for the delivery of training.
