IMPORTANT INFORMATION... Please Read! Is Child Care Provided? Unfortunately child care is NOT provided. Children will not be permitted at the conference as subject matter may not be appropriate for their developmental level. Can I attend any of the workshops I want? Yes you may. Please register using the form on the back of this brochure. Choose the workshops you wish to attend by checking the appropriate box. You may want mark which workshop you registered for on the listing to the left of the FAQs. If you decide to change your workshop choice upon arriving at the conference please let the SWORTC staff person who is checking you in know about the change. The SWORTC staff will know which workshops are full and which have space. What do I do about meals? Meals will be provided for you each day. In order to be included in a meal count you MUST mark on the registration sheet that you intend to be at that specific meal. The regional training center must give the conference personnel an accurate count so enough meals can be prepared. Are there overnight accommodations available? Overnight accommodations can be provided on a limited basis by the regional training center. These accommodations are reserved for those foster parents who are attending the ENTIRE conference and have a significant distance to travel. If you have to drive more than 50 minutes to get to the conference center and would like to be considered for accommodations, please make note of that on your registration. Do I have to participate in the entire conference for a certificate? No. You will receive individual certificates for each workshop attended. How many can attend the conference? Registration is open to the first 200 participants who send in their registrations. First priority will be given to foster/adoptive parents licensed through the public agencies. Private agency foster/adoptive parents can attend on a space available basis provided their agency has a “Letter of Agreement” on file at the Southwest Regional Training Center.
